Sony admits that actor doesn't exist

Just under a week after acknowledging using a fictitional critic and just a day after admitting to using its own employees as movie fans, Sony Pictures Entertainment today admitted to using a fake actor in their movies.

A week ago Sony Pictures acknowledged that David Manning from the Ridgefield Press, who frequently had reviews placed on movie posters and commericials, was a fictitious person.

Yesterday it was found out that Columbia Pictures used Sony Pictures Entertainment employees in its man-on-the-street interviews for the movie "The Patriot".

"The good news is, Sony is going to invent a marketing guy to take the fall," said Rob Schneider in an interview with Craig Kilborn.

Not so fast. Reports today have confirmed that Rob Schneider, the actor who plays in the hilarious movie "The Animal", is also faux.

"We've been using Rob Schneider for years, it was a great brand, but our consciences must come clean," said Sony Pictures president Mel Harris. "We thought it was obvious from the beginning, we wanted that to be a part of the joke. Kinda like this A.I. internet marketing ploy. But after Deuce Bigalow became such a huge hit and nobody noticed, we figured we'd run with it."
