Debate
rehearsals pay off for Kerry and Bush
Coral Gables, FL -- Several weeks of painstaking rehearsals have
paid off for the two Presidential candidates.
"W hit all his marks perfectly. I like how he emoted well
during my closing remarks," said John Kerry. "Pure Stanislovsky".
"John is a great improviser, " said Bush. "There
was one part where I totally forgot my lines and he filled in
with that joke until I could remember. When you are working with
such a professional it makes my job a lot easier. And the script
was fantastic."
The screenplay for the debate was written by acclaimed playwright
and screenwriter David Mamet. "I wanted to capture the character's
motivations. W's wants to convey a concern for domestic issues
while maintaining his tough international stance. Kerry wants
to show decisiveness and strength while keeping his focus on the
economy. I think this might be my best work since 'We're No Angels'
in 1989."
